May 2026 Prayer Requests
May 8, 2026
Below, find the prayer concerns and requests from leaders of the Baltic Methodist Theological Seminary and the congregations in Estonia.
Dear friends,
This month, we are especially thankful for our team. As we have begun slowly planning our summer camps, it has been incredible to see how our new team is working together. We are grateful for the unity, dedication, and willingness to serve that each person brings. It is encouraging to see how God is shaping this team and guiding us as we move forward.
Our main prayer request right now is for the summer camps. We are still in the planning stages, and we truly want everything to reflect God’s will. Please pray that He would guide our decisions, open the right doors, and lead us to the best solutions for the camps. Our desire is that these camps would be places where young people can encounter God and grow in their faith.
Thank you so much for continuing to pray for us and support the youth work.
With gratitude and blessings,
Liidia

Dear friends,
I hope you had a wonderful Easter, celebrating the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ! Christ is risen! He is risen indeed!
This Easter, our different congregations were able to preach the Gospel in many different ways. Some went out to the streets to speak with people and invite them to church. One church put on a special drama, and some 200 people came, many of them non-believers. There were special children’s programs that talked about the true meaning of Easter, and most congregations held special services. Please pray for many people who heard the Gospel over this past weekend that they would open their hearts to the Lord and start their faith journey.
Please pray for me as I continue to travel and do charge conferences in our congregations across Estonia. It is a great joy to visit different congregations, worship together, and hear about their ministry.
Thank you so much for your faithful prayers for the Methodist Church in Estonia!
Blessings,
Robert Tserenkov
Dear Friends,
It’s such a joy to celebrate with you – Jesus is risen! 😇
March has been quite full for us in a really good way, with different gatherings, travels, and people:
- We had a fun youth event in Reeküla with our friends from Tallinn, and it was so nice to spend time afterward with local people as well.
- During the month, we also held our Church’s Special Annual Conference, at which a bishop was elected. It was a real privilege for me to lead worship (praise) there together with a musician´s team made up of people from different congregations – Reeküla, Kuressaare, and Tallinn Russian congregation.
- I also visited Kuressaare Methodist Church and preached there on Sunday morning. Later that same day, we had an afternoon worship service in Reeküla, where pastor Rando Metsamaa and Pentecostal pastor and bishop Alur Õunpuu joined us – it was really special to be together.
- On Palm Sunday, I was invited to preach at Kalju Baptist Church in Tallinn. Right after that, I drove to Saaremaa, where we had a beautiful concert-style worship evening with a Christian vocal ensemble.
- I’m also thankful for the chance to record another week of morning devotions for Estonian Christian Radio.

We would really value your prayers for us:
- Please pray for our people and village friends who are struggling with health – some situations are quite serious, and we truly need God’s loving and miraculous touch.
- Please also pray for the youth and adults in our village, that they would turn their hearts to God and begin to walk with Him.
- And please pray for our congregation – that we would grow deeper in knowing God, and also that our numbers would grow.
We are praying for you as well.
Below are some pictures from all the activities we are blessed to have experienced.
With love,
Lemme from Reeküla

I wish you a happy Easter!
- Pray for our congregation and our services.
- Pray for our confirmation group. Pray for all these young people and for their spiritual growth.
- Pray for our pastors and their families.
- Pray for our seniors’ meeting on the 12th of April.
Blessings,
Vilja Ventsel
Christ is risen! We are grateful to everyone who carries the children’s center in their prayers!
We are grateful to God that our cook, Siiri, has now remained stable in her health and is already working for the second month after being ill for three months.
We thank the volunteers who help carry out wonderful events at the children’s center and bring something new and exciting every time.
In April, there will be state exams for children who are graduating from school. We pray that they will pass the exams.
We thank God that a 15-year-old boy, who has not been to the children’s center much in recent years and has not been to school much, has recently started going to the children’s center again and is gradually getting his schoolwork in order. We pray that he will be able to finish his class and get on with his life.
We pray for the teenagers at the children’s center who, after the church’s winter camp, have begun participating in the church’s teen meetings, that God will touch their hearts and they may decide to follow Jesus!
Below are some of the wonderful creations the children made decorating easter eggs.
Gratefully,
Veronika Fjodorova
Praises:
- We are thankful for our second year living in Wilmore in pursuit of a PhD at Asbury Seminary and for being part of a great community here.
- Thankful for the visits to Madison, WI, and Kingsport, TN, to talk about what God is doing in Estonia and at our Seminary.
- Thankful we get to come to Estonia for the summer, and Taavet also has a teaching mission-trip to Ghana, teaching Inductive Bible Study in June.
- Veronika sings in the Seminary choir, and our older daughter, Amada, goes to preschool with (…very important from an Estonian view) the yellow school bus!!!
Prayers:
- Pray for Taavet’s final papers of the semester and opportunities to publish them later as an article (that would be good for the BMTS)
- Pray for my (Taavet’s) parents as they need psychological and emotional healing from past matters.
- Pray for wisdom for planning the next steps to launch a master’s program at BMTS.
- Pray for safe travels in May and June.
-Taavet Taimla
Editor’s Note: Taavet writes an entertaining and informative newsletter. If you would like to receive it when he issues new editions, you can email admin@friendsofestonia.org, and we will forward the request.
