August’s prayer request newsletter comes on the heels of the Estonian summer conference.

I am grateful to God for having some wonderful vacation time, part of that spending time with our daughter and her children. It has been very important for my internal renewal, relaxing, and finding new strength.
With the middle of August, a pretty intense time of travel period will start that will go on for months. Please pray for energy and wisdom and the ability to perform my duties well.
Especially I am asking for your prayers for an entirely new training project for leaders of multicultural churches that I have been working on for about four years – and we are launching it now in the second half of August in Germany. A group of pastoral leaders will come together from many different countries and cultures. It is extremely exciting and a lot of responsibility.

Pray for our Summer conference on August 1 to 4 in camp Gideon. Pray for all participants and especially for speakers, that all of them will move in Spirit. Pray also for safety during all days.
Pray for our youth leaders. We have some changes in the team. Pray for God`s will in their lives and motivation.
Pray for all our young people, that they will grow in faith.
I praise God for History Makers leadership training I participated this July in Finland. God brought me closer and showed me the vision for the church and the importance of spending time with Him daily! It was very refreshing and uplifting time!
I pray for the new school year, the working year, and serving in the church at the same time, to have wisdom and courage to say no to things God doesn’t want me to participate and to be able to manage my time wisely as well. I saw in my previous working year, how important is my own spiritual life and time with God and yet what a challenge it was to have it in my schedule!
August 1-4 is the Estonian Methodist summer conference where Lívia & Mark are leading Bible studies. Pray that God’s Spirit will speak through us to the participants, to move them deeper into a relationship with Him. After a very difficult year, Lívia will start teaching at a new school now this autumn. Pray that the transition will go smoothly and that Lívia will quickly be able to build positive relationships with both kids and co-workers. August is application month at the Baltic Seminary, both for new students and also this year for a new secretary. Pray that God will call new students who have a desire to prepare for ministry. Finding the right secretary will be an act of God as it requires a very competent trilingual person with a heart for God’s Kingdom who is willing to work for a minimal salary. Pray that God will send us the right person for this critical role.Mark and Livia Nelson
