January 2025 Prayer Requests
January 11, 2025
Below, find the prayer concerns and requests from leaders of the Baltic Methodist Theological Seminary and the congregations in Estonia.
I would like to wish you and your loved ones a blessed Advent season. As we eagerly await Christmas and reflect on God’s great love expressed in Christ’s coming to this world, may our hearts be full of joy and love this special season.
Christmas time in Estonia is the season when more people come to church and are a little more open to the Gospel. Please pray for all of the Christmas services and special events that they will touch people’s hearts and that more people will come to know our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Please pray for our pastors, who often serve in several different capacities many of whom also work a secular job. Please pray for their spiritual, emotional, and physical strength as they serve their churches and communities.
Please pray for the churches in Rapina and Karsa that we can find pastors there and that we can finish the construction of the Rapina church building.
I sincerely thank you for your faithful prayers for the Estonian Methodist Church! You are true friends, and we treasure each one of you! Thank you so much for your love and support for the Kingdom of God in this part of the world.
Have a blessed Advent season, and Merry Christmas!
In Christ,

Youth Ministry in EMK
I am deeply thankful for each youth minister and volunteer. God has mightily widened youth ministry in Tallinn. Great thanks to God! May God continuously bless Urmas Sassiani and all his team.
We are planning a youth winter camp that will take place Dec 30-Jan 2nd in Vodja manner-house school. Let’s pray for teams and youth, catering, housing, weather, and spiritual breakthroughs.
This year, Taize prayer-pilgrim´s gathering is happening in Estonia, Tallinn: hundreds of young people are coming from Europe to Tallinn. We need about 1500 families to host these young people. Let’s pray that God will help find places for all pilgrims and that the program will touch everyone. Let’s also pray for protection and God´s presence.
South-Estonian congregations
I am continuously thankful for the unity in Võru, Viitka, and Räpina churches. We gather to encourage, support, and pray for each other.
God has blessed Võru church with active co-workers. The ministry has grown. We celebrated Võru church’s 30th anniversary in October and the 10th anniversary of the new sanctuary. The volunteers did a lot of work outside the church, from the chimney to the basement. We need an extra 6000 EUR to pay some of the bills because it took more than expected. We pray that the Lord will help us.
December is intensive, we pray for wisdom, provision and care.
This Sunday is the baptism of new believers and confirmation as new members.
Let’s pray for a young woman who fights with a brain tumor. She will become baptized with her teenage daughter.
In Gods love

Children’s Lighthouse Director
Greetings from Children Center Lighthouse!
Here are our prayer requests:
We are grateful to God that the church cafeterias and the Christmas Bazaar, organized by the International Women’s Club, have provided material support for the children’s center. We are grateful to every donor who supports the work at the children’s center!
We ask for prayers for the health of the children! Some children have very low immunity, only recovering from one illness when they already get sick with another.
We pray for the volunteers from Asbury Church, Teri, Janet, and Jeanette, who will come to the children’s center to work with the children for ten days. We also pray for their safe flight!
We pray that God will help the children understand the true meaning of Christmas and that they will feel God’s special care and love for them both at the Children’s Center Christmas party and during the guests’ stay.
Have a wonderful holiday season, peace, and joy from God!
God bless you!

Dear Friends,
We have entered the busy Christmas Season with all the Christmas services and Christmas celebrations to prepare and host.
We celebrated Christmas with our youth in Reeküla and are now preparing for Christmas Service.
A fantastic thing is that our village people (including the village elder and her sister) want to sing with us in Christmas Service – so we are meeting with them for rehearsals regularly, and they are inviting their friends and families to Christmas Service on the 24th of December. So please pray that God would touch their hearts and lives while learning and singing Christmas songs and their families and friends in Church. We also met again with village people – the village elder hosted us this time. So, let us keep praying for the people. We are meeting regularly in Reeküla.
I also visited Tallinn´s Congregation for the first time in a long time and preached there. It was lovely being back in my previous home Church. 🙂 and shared morning devotion in the Estonian Methodist Church’s pastor´s training days. So it has been a busy but blessed month and a half.
Please pray for my health and our kids’ health also. I have been struggling over 5 weeks with bad bacterial pneumonia that doesn’t want to go away. Our kids are also sick. Please pray we’ll all get well for Christmas.
May God bless you this Christmas Season and touch many lives through you and your love! You are in our hearts and prayers!
With love
Lemme from Reeküla
