July 2024 Prayer Requests
July 8, 2024
Below, find the prayer concerns and requests from leaders of the Baltic Methodist Theological Seminary and the congregations in Estonia.
Robert Tšerenkov
District Superintendent, EMK
Thank you so much for your prayers for the Methodist church in Estonia and its different ministries!
I recently had the last charge conference in one of our churches, and I’m so grateful to the Lord for our local churches, their faithful members, and dedicated pastors throughout Estonia. Churches are different: some are bigger, some smaller, some in cities and some in small villages, some growing, some struggling. But let us pray that all of our churches would continue to be the light of Christ for their local communities and continue to serve people with passion.
Please pray for the upcoming summer camps. That all of our children and young people would experience a special touch from the Lord and have a wonderful time with their friends. Usually, there are a number of children and young people from families who are not Christians. Let us pray that they would come to know the Lord. Please pray for all the leaders working hard to prepare for the camps.
Thank you so much for your prayers!

Pastor, Reeküla Church
Dear friends,
- The last few months have been very busy for me finishing my master’s studies. Praise God, and thank you for all of your support! I am happy to share my joy—I have completed my studies very well, defended my master’s paper, and am graduating next Saturday (June 16th). In the last months, I have also been teaching Methodist young leaders on leadership topics and Baptist young leaders in their leadership courses.
- Since the real estate job wasn’t going to bring in money on a monthly basis, I am looking for a job again. Please pray that I will find the right job that fits our family needs and Reeküla congregation.
- We have also had a busy and blessed time in the Reeküla congregation. We had a work day with a nice fellowship afterward. We had our Churches Annual Conference in Saaremaa this year, so we invited delegates and friends for lunch and coffee. We had about 80 people coming and visiting us during one lunch break. We ended our Sunday school and youth meetings season. I am in Saaremaa; we are still meeting with youth for fellowship and games. We continue to meet with young nonchristian families and friends – we just had a grilling event with them. So much is happening, and much to be grateful for!
- We have been invited to visit Kohila Baptist Church (Close to Tallinn) with our congregation at the end of June, so we are preparing to minister there. We also organize a big celebration in Reeküla in July—our Congregation´s anniversary. So we are talking with local leaders and planning a concert Sunday service and cafeteria in our Churchyard and a fun program afterward for the villages nearby.
- So please pray that this busy Summer season will be a blessed season in Reeküla, that new people will find their way to Church and to God, and that God will continue to bless us with his favor in our area. We also pray for you! We pray that this Summer will be a great time of refreshment for all of you and a great time to reach people in different ways. Thank you for staying with us! Be blessed!
With much love

Children’s Lighthouse Director
Greetings from Children Center Lighthouse,
We thank God for Asbury Church volunteers Teri and Adrian DeWendt, who helped with the children’s center’s activities for two weeks. During this busy time, while the teachers were helping the children make their last efforts to finish their class, Teri and Adrian played and did crafts with the children who had already finished their homework. With their help, delicious evening meals were also prepared.
We pray that all children will finish their class well.
We pray for the summer camp preparation and the Calvary UMC team that organizes and leads the camp. We also pray for their flight. The summer camp will take place this month, June 25-30. Please pray for it.
God bless you!
Veronika
