April 2025 Prayer Requests
April 12, 2025
Below, find the prayer concerns and requests from leaders of the Baltic Methodist Theological Seminary and the congregations in Estonia.
Dear friends,
Thank you so much for your faithful prayers!
On February 24th we celebrated Estonian Independence Day. We are so grateful to the Lord for our wonderful country, as we celebrated 107 years of our Republic! Please continue to pray for Estonia during these uneasy times in Europe. Let us pray for the spiritual revival and that many people would come to know Jesus Christ in our very secular country. Let us pray for the war in Ukraine to end and for the peace and safety in Estonia and in Europe in general.
We are thankful to the Lord for several wonderful events in the month of February:
We had a wonderful gathering of people who are interested in planting new Methodist churches. Please continue to pray for this group, as we discern the next steps.
We had a great women’s event, where women from different congregations gathered to learn about how the Bible speaks to women today.
Please continue to pray for my travels as I do charge conferences in different churches.
Please pray for the pastor’s gathering in March.
Thank you for your prayers!
In Christ,
Robert Tserenkov

Gratitude to God
- That the Higher Education Assessment Council accredited the seminary for the maximum possible period—seven years!
- For the sustainability of our school in providing quality theological education, reflecting the dedication of our entire team, faculty, and students.
- For this blessing and for all who earnestly prayed throughout the accreditation process.
Prayer Requests
- For the planning of a two-day development seminar for our team, based on the accreditation feedback, to analyze the seminary’s current state more deeply and set development goals for the coming years.
- For finding more donors and securing the necessary support to further develop the seminary in 2025.
- I will share a picture of the accreditation committee members with BMTS representatives soon.
Yours in Christ,

Hello dear friends,
I am grateful to God for different teams I am leading (youth work, VVR congregations). My goal is to develop myself and also develop teams. I am thankful that God has given me a super coach to work with.
Young people from all over Estonia met on Valentine’s Day in Tartu. We were able to strengthen our relationship and spend time together. A Lenten charity challenge is currently underway on Instagram. Keep it in our prayers.
My prayer requests:
- IG Lent challenge
- We need wisdom in preparing camps.
- The church boards of Võru, Räpina and Viitka could work productively. We need leaders.
- The work of the Räpina congregation would stabilize and grow.
Blessed Lent and God’s grace,
Ele Paju

Greetings from Children Center Lighthouse
We are thankful to God, we have a new employee, Siiri, who will cook and help with cleaning, starting in February. Sveta, who previously held this position, left due to health problems at the end of December. It is a great blessing that Siiri is a Christian, a member of the Tallinn Methodist Church.
We are grateful to God that in addition to the Sunday school teacher from the Methodist Church, volunteer missionaries from the Focus Church (an English-speaking international church) and Seminary student Piibe also come to share the Word of God at the children’s center.
We pray for an 8-year-old boy who is growing up with his father, but his father has alcohol problems. The child has already been to a shelter several times in his life. There is currently a situation where he may be taken there again. The boy’s psyche suffers from this. Please pray for this situation!
We are praying for a family at a children’s center with 4 children. The family lived in another city in the meantime, but last year they returned to Tallinn. The mother recently broke up with another partner, the family is having financial problems, and the mother is setting a bad example for the children with her lifestyle. The family’s two teenagers are having big problems at school and have started making friends which are a bad influence. Let’s keep this family in our prayers!
In mid-March, we have a meeting planned with the parents of children visiting the children’s center. We pray that many parents will participate. Unfortunately, previous practice has shown that parents are not interested in coming or cooperating in helping their children.

Dear Friends,
I hope you are all doing well and I pray God will lead you and guide you throughout the months and year ahead. That His love and favor would be seen and felt over your lives and through your lives.
We are seeing God’s hand over our congregation on a daily basis. Last year we had 4-6 youth participating in our youth events, this year we have had 8 youth coming – young people are inviting their friends from the village. We have 18 official members in our congregation at this point so these 8 youth from the local village are a big addition to our church.
We have also continued rehearsals with Reeküla´s musical ensemble for the Easter service. Our group is bigger now and we have more locals that have joined us (10-11 of us). We continue to meet regularly with local people as well and we have been very blessed to see that one couple out of this group has visited our Sunday Service already.
We also had our annual Church Conference at the end of February and we are thankful to see that our Superintendent Robert is pleased with our work and our congregation and I am also grateful to God four our active congregation. We are small but everyone is active and serving in some way, nobody just comes to Church on Sunday.
I also had a big opportunity to minister in an Estonian-wide secular Radio Station. I was invited there to record 7 devotions for our nation, and they air this week, from Monday to Sunday.
So there is much to be grateful for and we are!
Please pray that God would continue His work in our congregation and through us. That we would impact even more our local village and local people.
Please pray for the couple from the village that has visited our Sunday Service for the first time. That God would continue His work in them. Please pray that coming Easter would be a time when God can touch local people and bring them closer to Him and to us.
With much love
Lemme
