Meet the new Logo!
The new logo is comprised of three sections. The left side of the new logo depicts the Bible and the three wavy lines at the bottom. The lines represent both the pages of the book and the baptismal water in which a person is baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The connection with Estonia as a maritime country can also be seen in the waves. The Bible and water’s color, blue, represent the traditionalism of the Estonian Methodist Church. In the center of the logo, dividing the blue left and right red portions is a white cross, which serves as a symbol of Christ’s redemptive work. It is at the center of the church’s life and message. To the right of the cross is a two-pronged flame, reminiscent of the Holy Spirit poured out as forked tongues of fire that fell on the apostles on the day of Pentecost. Colored and red, the flame signifies the fiery and vivifying work of the Holy Spirit. The familiar combination of cross and flame in the new form reflects the historical connection of the Estonian Methodist Church with the United Methodist Church.
The author of the logo is Ain Vares.
