November 2021 Prayer Requests
November 9, 2021
The new church in Tallinn is underway, and we ask for continued prayers for health and healing in this Octobers’s prayer newsletter.

Robert Tšerenkov
District Superintendent, EMK
Dear Friends of Estonia!
First of all, thank you for keeping our pastor and former superintendent Olav Pärnamets in your prayers. He is still recovering from the stroke. The doctors say that it will be a long recovery process, so please continue to pray for him and his family.
Please pray for our pastors’ gathering that we will have on October 22-23. This will be a time of teaching and fellowship, and we pray that it will be a refreshing and inspiring experience for our clergy.
We have started gathering for the new Russian-speaking congregation we are planting in Tallinn. Please pray that we could reach new people with the gospel and please keep the team in your prayers.
Thank you so much for your prayers!
Pray for Olav’s continued healing.
Pray for the seminary which has been finishing its accreditation report.
Pray for the school year to continue to go smoothly. So far, no students have missed classes due to Covid. This is a blessing.
Praise God for his work! It is great to be part of what God is doing and to see the benefits of living in the community. I have made many new contacts this past month.
Praise God, my church members have been healthy and not been touched by the covid! Praise God for the new guy, who has attended our services the whole year from time to time and it seems now he is getting more into Christianity and what it means to be a follower of Christ.
Prayer is needed for my health, I am still recovering from covid as I have been very tired by the end of the weeks.
Let’s pray for both schools I work in, for young people, and for their mental health.
Let’s pray for this new guy. He has had struggles with alcohol, but that he would stay sober and be set free totally!

General Board of Global Ministries
This fall appears to get really busy – so this is at the same time praise and prayer request.
The last time I wrote to you during the Institute for Multicultural Ministry session in Stuttgart and already indicated what a blessing it was. After the whole event ended, I am truly amazed at how God works in different countries and cultures. The fact that everything went smoothly and fit together well also organizationally, is a huge reason to thank God.
Meanwhile, we conducted the annual meeting on the European Commission on Mission in Oslo/Norway (representatives of European Methodist mission boards). The meeting went very well – our prayers were richly answered! It was the first time for me to lead this hybrid meeting (some were physically present, some were online).
While there will be not many travels this year – at Global Ministries each trip is nowadays considered very carefully and allowed only if of critical priority – I am looking forward to participating in the anniversary of 150 years of Methodism in Austria earlier in October. And later in October, I participate in the meeting where most Central and Eastern European Methodist leaders come together. I am very much looking forward to meeting them and learn about developments. Please pray for wisdom for me to relate to all of them so that I can learn and could be an encouragement to them.
We just celebrated the 27th anniversary of Võru Tree of Life UMC. Praise God our Citymees and vice City meer were worshiping with us. Praise God for the God-fearing leadership in Võru and the support we have among our leaders who believe in prayer!
This year has been quite difficult, Kaupo has been in sick-leave from April to August and so the church has been in “slow mode” Praise God he is now better again and is in ministry since 1st of September.
Special thanks and miracle, that our prayer-mom Doris McCray visited us in last week in August to minister to many of our people.
Congratulation to our graduates of the Fourth Disciple program. We did it in almost 3 years, meeting once a month, but we were nourished by the Word!
On Wednesday we started Celebrate Recovery women group. And seems to be a good group, but all have gone through several difficulties.
Also, we had a youth ministry first meeting for the 11-14years – this needs prayers.
Please pray for our two older sons as they are not actively in faith now, that the Lord will get them strongly.
Many blessings and prayers!

Pray for people who struggle with severe diseases. Pray for their courage and also for healing.
Pray for our Bible study groups, for their growth and really close relationship with Lord!
Hello,
thank you for the prayers for me and for Agape church!
Here are some of my prayer requests in October:
- Thank God, I am doing well and the coronavirus did not leave me any long-term problems. I feel I am back to my normal self after a couple of weeks of low energy.
- Thank God for some new beginnings in Agape church. There are many babies growing up in the middle of the congregation now. There is started a group for babies and their moms when they can share experiences with each other. The most important thing is they can discuss spiritual topics and pray together for each other. Please pray for God´s blessing over families and babies. Please pray for wisdom and encouragement for Maarja if she leads that group.
- Please pray for me that I can see people through God´s eyes. There are various activities in the church and we need more people to join in. Please pray for me to be open and let God show me the needs of people in the church. Also, pray that God will give me help to inspiree people in the congregation to step up.
- Please pray for those, who have been away from the church for a long time. Please pray I am able to make contact with them and encourage them to join back into the fellowship with others.
Greetings from Children Center Lighthouse!
We are grateful to God that a girl from the children’s center, who moved to the city of Paldiski, started actively visiting the Methodist church there and bringing other classmates there as well. We pray for her passion to remain strong!
Looking back on the summer, we are so grateful to God that one of our girls, who visited our children’s center, started going to our church 5 years ago, now she helps in children Sunday School and helped already in the church children’s camp. It is such a great blessing to see how the seed sown has begun to grow.
God bless you!
Thank you for your prayerful support.
We are still in a state of instability in the country, but we believe in the mercy and goodness of the Lord.
On October 16 we will have a night of worship “AWE Tallinn”, pray for the touch of the Holy Spirit.
We are planning a teenage camp from October 24 to 28. Pray for the spread of good news among the teenagers, let God touch the hearts of the children.
Pray for a Seminary student from the Evenki, an unreached people group in eastern Siberia who is a pastor/missionary to his people and is trying to study via Zoom despite the 7 hour time difference. Pray for divine strength, focus and dedication that together we can help the Kingdom of God take root among this people group.
Pray for the Seminary staff as we continue with hybrid (online + in class) teaching. Pray for strength and blessing in dealing with the technical side and wisdom for the teachers to be able to engage the online students successfully.
Pray for Livia as she commutes between two locations due to construction in her school building. It uses up a lot of time and energy, resulting in much longer and more tiring days. Pray for divine strength as well as discernment and wisdom in dealing with all that is happening.
